Reconciling passion for fashion and awareness of the heavy impacts of the fashion industry, BAHAAR was born with a desire to commit to a more sustainable fashion through three main pillars:

Authenticity

Designated in Paris, the articles signed BAHAAR are then carefully made by human-scale workshops that we visit regularly.

Concerned about detail, they put their know-how to good use in each creation in order to create unique pieces. At BAHAAR, we also want to play a social role by having a positive impact on our ecosystem.

Artisans face many challenges and we aim to strengthen their skills and apply fair purchasing practices.

Transparency

The fashion industry is one of the most polluting in the world and has an altered image in terms of its impact on the ecosystem: poor working conditions, lack of transparency in sourcing, etc.

Faithful to its values, BAHAAR took up the challenge of producing in small series and with a local workforce in order to put into action a socio-responsible and environmentally conscious approach.

Our collections are designed in limited editions in workshops that we visit very regularly. We know each supplier personally and ensure that working conditions are decent.

In addition, for our raw materials we mainly opt for ends of rolls from the local textile industry in an upcycling approach.

Diversity

Having noted that the French and global fashion industry still often lacks diversity both in terms of cultural references and of representation in fashion campaigns.

Inasmuch as plural women, rich in our multicultural "background", we want to share our vision of a more inclusive fashion.
